Hazels

Bush Hazel nuts should grow well here, and there are attempts to commercialize this crop in Wisconsin. The trick is to get big nuts. (That sentence might get us kicked off the Internet.) Most hazels that grow here naturally are pretty small, so experts are trying to breed plants that will produce nuts worth buying. It’s a work in progress.
